- Virtue Log: Personal reflections, habit tracking, and virtue-related entries
- Done Jar: Accomplishments and achievements you choose to record
This data is personal to you and is stored securely. We do not access, read, or analyze your personal entries except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.

When you access the Service, we may automatically collect:

- Encryption at rest
- Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data
- Ongoing security monitoring and updates
While we implement safeguards designed to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases or that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as described below, such as with service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the Service, when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer.
- Service Providers: With vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication, infrastructure, analytics) and who process data on our behalf
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or in response to valid legal process

Third-Party Authentication
If you choose to sign in using a third-party provider (such as Google), we receive limited information from that provider as authorized by you. We do not have access to your password for these services. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use to authenticate with our Service.
Google User Data
This section specifically addresses how we handle data obtained through Google Sign-In, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Data Accessed from Google
When you sign in with Google, we access basic account information needed for authentication, such as your email address (and, depending on your Google settings, basic profile information like your name and profile photo). We use standard OAuth 2.0 authentication with minimal scopes—we do not request access to your Google contacts, calendar, documents, Drive files, Gmail content, or any other Google services.
How We Use Google User Data
Your Google account information is used solely for authentication—to create your account and verify your identity when you sign in. We do not use it for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.
Sharing of Google User Data
We do not sell your Google account information. We share it only as necessary to provide authentication—for example, our authentication provider (Supabase) processes the Google OAuth flow and session management on our behalf—and as otherwise described in the "Data Sharing and Disclosure" section above.
Storage and Protection of Google User Data
Your email address is stored securely by Supabase Auth with encryption at rest and in transit. OAuth tokens (if any) are handled by Supabase as part of the authentication flow. We do not use Google OAuth tokens to access Google services on your behalf.
Retention and Deletion of Google User Data
Your email address is retained only while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email privacy@alignedlife.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will delete your account within 30 days.
You may also revoke Aligned Life's access to your Google account at any time through yourGoogle Account permissions settings.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the Service:
- Account data (email): Retained while your account is active
- Your entries (Virtue Log, Done Jar): Retained while your account is active
To delete your data: Email privacy@alignedlife.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include your account email. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days and send you a confirmation when complete.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export: Download a portable copy of your data directly from each feature (Virtue Log and Done Jar both have an "Export" button)

Cookies
